QNAP Introduces KoiBox-100W Video Conferencing Solution for Private/Cloud Meetings, Featuring 4K Wireless Projection and Local Storage
Taipei, Taiwan, January 26, 2022 - QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading computing, networking, and storage solution innovator, today introduced the KoiBox-100W video conferencing appliance, featuring 4K wireless projection, four-way communication, and local storage capabilities. Running the KoiMeeter video conferencing operating system, the KoiBox-100W is the ideal replacement for costly SIP-based conferencing systems in providing private meeting systems with trusted security. The KoiBox-100W can also join Zoom®, Skype™, Microsoft Teams®, Cisco Webex®, and Google Meet™ calls to streamline communication between different platforms.
“Compared with similar products on the market, the KoiBox-100W is extremely easy-to-use and provides advantages in affordability and private-cloud-based security, while also providing the ability to use mainstream cloud video conferencing services,” said Hanz Sung, Manager of QNAP Smart Video Division, adding “As an all-in-one video conferencing and wireless presentation solution, the KoiBox-100W is perfect for small-to-medium meeting rooms, director’s offices, classrooms, lecture halls, and even in homes. Wi-Fi 6 support provides stable video calling with the KoiBox-100W, and when used with QNAP’s QHora-301W router users can attain the highest quality wireless connection in their environments.”
The KoiBox-100W is portable and easy-to-use, all you need to do is connect it to an HDMI display and network. It can form up to 4-way video conferencing with a QNAP NAS running the KoiMeeter app and mobile phones with the KoiMeeter mobile app. The KoiBox-100W also supports SIP systems (such as Avaya® or Polycom®) and cloud meeting platforms for cross-platform communications. The highly-anticipated 4K wireless projection also makes it easy for all members in the same meeting room view the KoiBox-100W screen on an HDMI display without needing a dedicated computer.
The KoiBox-100W is highly integrated with mobile devices and allows users to share their screen by scanning the KoiBox-100W QR code. Meetings can also be joined from the KoiMeeter mobile app. Additional KoiBox-100W features include auto answering, address book, and the Insight View that allows meeting participants to remotely view the presentation on their computers.
Designed around the concept of private cloud that emphasizes privacy and security, the KoiBox-100W includes a 2.5-inch SATA drive bay (SSD/hard drive sold separately) for storing meeting videos and audio – providing a secure and productive communication platform to satisfy cross-team and internal/external collaboration.
