Taiwan, Taipei, November 8, 2021 – QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading computing, networking and storage solution innovator, today released QuWAN version 2.1. In addition to its SD-WAN mesh VPN technology and QuWAN Orchestrator cloud management functions, QuWAN now allows users to easily deploy and manage VPN servers via the cloud, providing users with a simpler and convenient centralized cloud management platform. Users can also manage computers and mobile phones’ VPN connections, greatly optimizing the VPN experiences of mobile users.
Through the QuWAN orchestrator, multiple QNAP devices in the SD-WAN network environment can be configured as VPN servers, and their VPN settings can be configured and managed at the same time. Administrators can centrally monitor the connection status of devices in real-time. In addition, the organization ID can be sent directly through the cloud to users’ computers or mobile devices for them to establish VPN connections without requiring IP address settings, thus achieving zero-touch deployment (ZTP, Zero Touch Provisioning). Users will automatically connect to the best server or manually select their connection.
The QuWAN Orchestrator provides a friendly quick start guide. Users can follow the step-by-step instructions to activate the VPN server, add VPN users, configure firewall settings, and set up QVPN Client connections.
The latest version of QuWAN can be installed from the QNAP App Center.
